Director of the Institute for Information Sciences (I2S) and AT&T Foundation Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Perry Alexander was a featured guest on Lawrence’s KLWN morning show According to the Record with Kim Murphree on Tuesday, March 4. Alexander’s appearance on the show comes in advance of the KU and FBI fourth annual Cybersecurity Intelligence Conference March 31 and Apri 1.

Alexander shared a bit about his background as an EECS researcher and professor at KU as well as current observations in the cybersecurity space that ordinary people should be aware of in a world that is increasingly more connected.

The conversation pivoted to the upcoming conference, designed to bring together cybersecurity experts from industry and research to the KU campus in Lawrence and for which Alexander is a consultant. The collaborative event fosters critical dialogue on cybersecurity policy, education and strategy. Attendees will explore real-world case studies and gain insights from subject matter experts representing academia, federal agencies and the private sector. Registration for the conference is currently open to the public.
