Assurance of Security and Trust for Human and Hardware (ASTHA)

The ASTHA lab is co-directed by Dr. Sumaiya Shomaji and Dr. Tamzidul Hoque. The team currently consists of seven PhD students, six MS students,  9 undergrad students, and a high school student working on various projects. In addition to workstations for PhD students, the lab possesses Riscure Inspector’s electromagnetic (EM) Probe Station that offers a complete solution for EM emanations analysis. Their research lab also contains a Tektronix DPO 70404C oscilloscope and Chipwhisperer husky for power side channel analysis. Along with that there are more than 20 different FPGA boards, six gamified learning embedded system platforms, and six hardware hacking (HaHa) platforms for various hardware security experiments.
