KU’s Institute for Information Sciences Hosts Open House Showcasing Graduate Research on AI Technologies

On Oct. 1, 2025, KU’s Institute for Information Sciences (I2S) hosted an interactive open house showcasing groundbreaking research by graduate students and faculty advisers involving advancements in AI and machine learning. The event was part of the weeklong series “Falling into AI” organized by the Center for Flexible Learning Through Innovations & Technology (FLITE). The series kicked off on Sept. 29 with experts from Google for Education and other Google divisions delivering keynote addresses highlighting Google’s initiatives supporting AI education and research in higher education.

The I2S open house included hands-on demonstrations and presentations illustrating how I2S is leading the way in secure and ethical AI, connecting participants with the innovators driving progress.
