The University of Kansas is hosting the second annual Falling into AI Summit from Sept. 22-24, bringing together leaders from KU, KU Medical Center, Google, Amazon Web Services, Apple and artificial intelligence industry partners to explore how AI is transforming education, healthcare, research, workforce development and society.
The University of Kansas has welcomed researcher Dr. Sarah Sebo and her Socially Engaging roBOtics (SEBO) Lab, marking an important addition to KU’s growing research portfolio in artificial intelligence, robotics, and human-centered technology. As of summer 2026, Sebo has transitioned from the University of Chicago to KU, where she now serves as an assistant professor in the School of Engineering’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS).
The University Honors Program has welcomed five KU faculty members to its cohort of Honors Faculty Fellows, who join six continuing fellows as well as one returning fellow for the fall 2026 semester.
