I2S Director, CCDS Director Featured on Cybersecurity Podcast

Perry Alexander, AT&T distinguished professor of electrical engineering and computer science, along with John Symons, professor of philosophy, were recently featured on the Caveat podcast. The two KU faculty members were interviewed by host Ben Yelin during the third annual FBI and KU Cybersecurity Conference, held at the Lawrence campus April 3-4, 2025.

During the episode, Yelin covered the importance of public/private partnerships with Alexander. Following that discussion, Yelin and Symons talked about the philosophical issues with AI and how those impact policy decisions.

Alexander is also the director of KU’s Institution for Information Sciences (I2S), while Symons is the director of the Center for Cyber-Social Dynamics, one of six areas of research at I2S. The Caveat Podcast is a weekly conversational series on surveillance, digital privacy, cybersecurity and policy produced on N2K Networks.
