Congratulations to KU EECS and I2S doctoral candidates Fairuz Shadmani Shishir and Md Massif Rizvee along with their adviser, Dr. Sumaiya Shomaji, for their recently published research in academic journals.

Shishir’s work on “A Deep Learning Framework for Protein-to-Metal Binding Prediction Using Protein Language Models” was published in IEEE Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics in August. Read the abstract.

Rizvee’s work on “A Persistent Hierarchical Bloom Filter-based Framework for Scalable Authentication and Tracking of ICs” was published in ACM Journal on Emerging Technologies and Computer Systems in July. Read the abstract.

Together, their research under the guidance of Shomaji represent profound accomplishments marked by these tremendous milestones.
