Esther Akheituame

Esther Akheituame is a fourth-year Communication Ph.D. candidate at the University of Missouri. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Benin, Nigeria, and a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Central Missouri. At the University of Missouri, she teaches courses in New Technologies and Communication and Public Speaking.

Her research interests focus on media effects and representation, gender roles, and mediated counter-narratives from an Afrocentric perspective
