Biography

Dr. Morteza Hashemi joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and ITTC at University of Kansas as an Assistant Professor in January 2019. He received his MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Boston University in 2015, and his BSc degree from Sharif University of Technology in 2011. From 2015 to 2018, he was a postdoctoral researcher and senior lecturer at the Ohio State University. Before joining KU, he was with Sony Research Center, San Jose, CA as a Senior Researcher.

His research interests span the broadly defined areas of data networking, wireless communications, mmWave systems, Internet-of-Things, and online learning applications.
