Sarah Sebo

Sarah Sebo is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of Kansas and directs the Socially Engaging roBOtics (SEBO) Lab. Her research explores social dynamics in human-robot interactions. She explores how a robot's social behavior can be designed to best help people in the places they live, learn, and work — tutoring children at school, assisting around the home, and supporting teams in making decisions. 

Dr. Sebo's work has been recognized with a NSF CAREER award and best paper awards at the ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). Dr. Sebo completed her Ph.D. at Yale University where she worked with Dr. Brian Scassellati and her B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering.
